CORVALLIS, Ore-- Devastating news for Oregon State women's basketball ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season.

With basketball nearly back on the court of Gill Coliseum, the Beavers will now find themselves without one of their star players for the entirety of the season.

On Saturday, Oregon State forward Catarina Ferreira announced on social media that she had recently suffered a injury that will keep her sidelined for the upcoming season.

"With a heavy heart, I want to share that I've had a season-ending injury and won't be on the court this year," Ferreira said in a post on Instagram. "It's not easy, but I'm staying positive and will keep supporting my team in every way I can."
