JONESBOROUGH, Tenn., (WJHL) - The New Victory Baptist Church in Jonesborough has hosted its post-game "Fifth Quarter" potluck celebration since 2005 to connect through faith after home football games.

The celebration is hosted after each home game at the pavilion at David Crockett High School and is open to anybody in the community.

Organizers even extend an invitation to the opposing team and their fans.

Organizer Evelyn Story said the best part is the new people she meets every home game.

"My favorite part is meeting everybody when they come down to eat," she said. "I was in a wheelchair last week. So I sat at the end of the table here and got to greet everybody as they came through."

The celebration also hopes to boost confidence amongst the younger crowd.
