Utah’s first three drives ended in two turnovers on downs and a three-and-out.
Finally, on drive No. 4, Dampier let a classic gritty Utes drive that ate up nearly four minutes and spanned 85 yards. He completed three of his four pass attempts on the series for 52 yards.
The possession was highlighted by three big plays: a 17-yard reception from Lander Barton, a 24-yard dot on the sideline to Larry Simmons, and a 26-yard Dampier scramble.
