OWATONNA, Minn. — Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) is making changes to its labor and delivery services at Owatonna Hospital. Starting November 17, Allina Health will take over OB/GYN physician staffing responsibilities for these services.
MCHS will continue to support expectant mothers with prenatal and postpartum care in Owatonna. The care teams will work with patients to ensure they receive safe and coordinated care throughout their pregnancy. MCHS has been providing these services through an agreement with Allina Health but is unable to continue due to staffing challenges and a nationwide shortage of OB/GYN physicians.
