ROCHESTER, Minn. — A second wave of the "No Kings" protest filled the streets of Rochester on Saturday, as thousands marched in support of democracy and against what they perceive as growing authoritarianism under President Trump's administration.
"We love America. We believe in democracy. And we feel that it's under threat by the actions of Trump and his administration," Joan Gordon, co-director of Indivisible 507, said.
The turnout exceeded expectations, with organizers estimating at least 3,500 participants. Concerns over immigration raids, government shutdowns, and healthcare cuts fueled the larger gathering compared to the first protest earlier this summer.
Minnesota State Rep. Liz Boldon emphasized the importance of due process. "The way people are seeing their friends and neighbo
