Hundreds of passengers planning to return home for Diwali were left stranded in Milan after Air India’s Delhi-bound flight was abruptly cancelled.
The flight, AI138, which was scheduled to carry 256 passengers and 10 crew members, was called off due to what the airline described as an “extended technical requirement.”
Air India Cites Safety Concerns
In an official statement, Air India confirmed that the flight from Milan to Delhi on October 17 had to be cancelled because of a technical snag in the aircraft. The airline said the decision was taken in the interest of passenger safety.
