On Sunday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the construction of 471 new Gram Panchayat offices across Odisha. The event also marked the release of the first financial instalment for 48,693 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana, aimed at supporting vulnerable families.
The ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall in Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, and connected officials and beneficiaries from multiple districts through a virtual platform.
New Panchayat Offices to Strengthen Rural Governance
The new offices are part of a statewide infrastructure initiative designed to improve administrative outreach and public service delivery in rural areas. CM Majhi emphasized that these offices would provide citizens with easier access to government services.
