Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd based in Singrauli, is actively participating in the Government of India’s Special Campaign 5.0, focusing on cleanliness, record management, scrap disposal, and sustainability initiatives.

In a creative expression of the campaign’s “Waste to Beauty” vision, NCL is installing large sculptures of a peacock—the national bird—and a barasingha, crafted entirely from iron scrap generated during mining operations. These installations aim to promote environmental responsibility while showcasing innovation in waste reuse.
