GRAND FORKS — A Grand Forks pharmacist was recently charged with three felonies for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of stimulants across an 11-month period.

Brayden Peter Joseph Trontvet, 36, is charged with Class B felony theft between $10,000 and $50,000, Class B felony deceptive writings over $10,000, Class C felony acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation or fraud, Class A misdemeanor possession of a schedule II stimulant and Class A misdemeanor ingesting a controlled substance.

A Class B felony carries a maximum 10-year prison sentence.

A pharmacist and the owner of Walls Medicine Center in Grand Forks contacted the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation on May 16, according to a declaration of probable cause summary filed in the case.
