For the second time in three seasons, FC Cincinnati will faceoff against their archnemesis in the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Cincinnati was able to maintain the No. 2 seed in the East, thanks to a 3-0 win over Montreal. The FC was able to hold off Inter Miami, who won their Decision Day match against Nashville, and would have jumped them in points if Cincinnati had any result other than a victory.
