If you drive, you've probably found yourself in a situation where you need to pull over to let an emergency vehicle through. But are you aware that you can't stop in some key locations with drivers being urged to "avoid" them?

This guidance comes straight from the Highway Code , with the UK Government outlining specific regulations motorists are expected to adhere to. One of these is Rule 219.

This covers emergency and incident support vehicles on the road and includes the police, fire engines, ambulance and doctors.
