Police investigating two rapes have been granted more time to question two suspects.

West Midlands Police arrested a 49-year-old man and 65-year-old woman on Friday morning, October 17. The force announced today, Sunday, October 19, that a 'further warrant of detention' has been granted in relation to the pair in custody.

The first attack, on a young Sikh woman, happened in Tame Road, Oldbury on September 9. Police were treating the incident as racially-aggravated.

The second took place against a woman in her 30s at Hurst Green Park in Halesowen on Thursday, October 16, at around 7pm.
