COLUMBUS, Ohio — Five people were injured in a crash involving a COTA bus on the city’s east side early Sunday morning, according to a Columbus public safety dispatcher.

First responders were called to the intersection of Parsons Avenue and Bryden Road around 12:19 a.m. on a report of a crash.

Two people were transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital and one person was transported to Grant Medical Center, where the dispatcher described their conditions as “stable.” Two others were taken to Grant Medical Center in critical and serious conditions.

The dispatcher added that the COTA driver was the only person aboard the bus and is OK.
