Christina Welsh, 29, of St. Petersburg, Florida, won the women's division of the 48th annual Detroit Free Press Marathon presented by MSU Federal Credit Union on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Welsh earned the victory in a time of 2 hours, 46 minutes and 59 seconds, averaging a 6:23 mile pace.

Reagan Justice, 22, of Milan, Michigan, finished second with a time of 2 hours, 48 minutes and 9 seconds, averaging a 6:25 mile pace.
