Tenzin Yangki from Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, has made history by becoming the first woman IPS officer from the state.

Yangki joined the prestigious Indian Police Service after completing her training and participating in the passing out parade at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, on October 17.

She secured her place in the IPS by cracking the UPSC Examination 2022, achieving an All India Rank of 545.
