Another individual posing as a doctor has been arrested in Silchar, in Assam’s Cachar district, taking the total number of such arrests in the town to 14 within the last two months.

Nath, who was posing as Dr. B.C. Nath, was arrested by the police on Saturday during a raid at the “Healthy Unique Life Clinic” in Ambicapatty.

Cachar Senior Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta said that Nath had been practicing under a fake identity for a long time, using a forged MBBS degree to deceive patients and operate his clinic.

During the raid, police seized multiple fake documents and other incriminating materials from his possession.
