A West End bar received an emergency suspension order from Louisville Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control Oct. 18 after two women were injured from a shooting inside, spokesperson Brandon Bowden said in a statement.

Double Deuce Sports Bar & Grill, 2529 W. Broadway, is under investigation by Metro ABC due to the shooting, which occurred around 2 a.m. Oct. 18, Bowden said. Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said officers learned of a shooting after the women injured were taken to Norton West Louisville Hospital by private means. Mitchell later confirmed with The Courier Journal the shooting occurred inside the bar.
