A concrete pour will require a nighttime closing of U.S. 23’s northbound exit at Monroe Street in Sylvania.

The exit is scheduled, weather permitting, to be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday while the deck is poured for a bridge over the Ottawa River on the ramp’s future replacement.

A posted detour will send exiting traffic north into Michigan to Sterns Road, then back south to Sylvania. A better alternative for at least some traffic to avoid circuitous mileage could be to use the exits on east-west I-475 at either Corey Road or Talmadge Road, then go north to Monroe and west into Sylvania.
