Donald Trump has declared himself the “mediator president”, and after Gaza, he’s declared he wants to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. Another face to face meeting with Russia’s Vladimir Putin is expected to take place in the Hungarian capital Budapest.

Hungary, which is a member of both the EU and NATO, said it would “welcome Mr Putin with respect” even though he’s been indicted for war crimes.
