A Harry Potter star has revealed she was approached to appear on the BBC's star-studded Traitors spin-off , but refused the opportunity. ‌

The Celebrity Traitors is currently airing on BBC One twice a week, with 19 famous faces recruited to play as Faithfuls and Traitors and vying for a slice of a cash prize for charity. ‌

Among the glittering cast of the new series is chat show host Jonathan Ross, comedian Alan Carr and broadcaster Stephen Fry, while Claudia Winkleman has returned as host. ‌

Actress Miriam Margoyles, who starred as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, claimed she had been asked to do the show but rejected the opportunity.
