RICHMOND, Ind. -- Four people, including a Richmond Police officer have been injured following a three vehicle crash.

According to the Richmond Police Department, around 10:31 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to a domestic disturbance.

While officers were on the scene, a physical altercation between a suspect and officers occurred. Additional assistance was called for by an officer.

While responding to the scene, an RPD patrol car was involved in a three-vehicle crash.

The patrol car struck the rear of a black Lincoln MKZ, which then collided with a gold Ford Ranger.

All three drivers and a passenger of the Lincoln MKZ were all transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The Indiana State Police have assumed responsibility for investigating the crash.
