The Patriots needed to navigate a few plays without Drake Maye in the third quarter at Nissan Stadium.

The quarterback appeared to be pulled by a concussion spotter after hitting his head on the Tennessee turf. Driving with a 17-13 lead, Maye scrambled for six yards before he was taken to the ground by Titans cornerback Roger McCreary. He immediately shook his head and was sent to the blue medical tent, but passed any test that was administered.

Maye was replaced by Josh Dobbs for three plays, and the backup was able to convert a third-and-5 to keep the drive alive, finding Pop Douglas for a 12-yard completion. Maye was greeted by audible cheers from the Patriots fans in Tennessee when he jogged back onto the field after his brief absence.
