SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The 2026 South Dakota Governor’s race has another entrant. On Sunday, Allison Renville announced on social media that she will be running for the state’s highest office.
The community advocate and political organizer most recently helped found the group TiWakan.
Renville did not list a party affiliation in her announcement.
Renville said in her release that some of her priorities are investing in education, tribal sovereignty, protesting South Dakota’s natural resources, and growing the economy through support for small businesses.
