The New Orleans Saints lost to the Chicago Bears 26-14 Sunday at Soldier Field.
The loss was the second consecutive setback for the Saints and dropped them to 1-6 on the season. It’s their worst seven-game start since 1999.
Here's what we learned from the game:
The Saints again played catch-up
The Saints defense forced a three-and-out on the Bears’ opening drive. But after that, it was all Chicago. The Bears scored on four of their next five possessions to seize an early 20-0 lead.
It was a common trend for the Saints, who entered the game having been outscored 65-16 in the first quarter.
The struggles started early. Spencer Rattler fumbled on the Saints' second offensive play, and the Bears quickly capitalized with a field goal to take an early 3-0 lead.
It didn't get much better
