The weather turned out to be spectacular for Saturday’s Halloween Spooktacular in downtown Mount Clemens.

Hundreds of costumed kiddos and their families enjoyed warm temperatures into the mid 70-degree range and no rain as they headed to the Macomb County parking structure at Cass Avenue and Main Street.

Rosco the Clown is always an integral part of the annual Halloween Spooktacular as he provides free entertainment for kids attending the event. (GEORGE SPITERI FOR THE MACOMB DAILY)

This year’s free trick-or-treating event was consolidated into a single location because of the ongoing construction taking place downtown. Spooktacular events are typically held in the downtown’s restaurants, retail shops and salons.
