JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- At least three individuals were injured in a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at an outdoor gathering in Jefferson County, according to the Palmerdale Fire District.
Palmerdale Fire District Captain J. Bruce stated that Palmerdale and Center Point Fire personnel responded to a reported shooting at around 12:30 a.m. in the woods near Highway 75. According to Jefferson County Sheriff Mark Pettway, this is a location where young people gather and have bonfires.
According to Bruce, the scene was secured by the JCSO. One man with gunshot wounds and two females with gunshot wounds were found at the scene. The male victim was transported by Palmerdale Rescue 511 to UAB Hospital for treatment. One of the female victims was also transported to UAB by Ce
