CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With a win over the New York Jets, the Carolina Panthers have a winning record for the first time in nearly half a decade.
The Panthers (4-3) beat the Jets 13-6 on a day where defense ruled. Punting was more frequent than scoring as Carolina's lone touchdown drive at the end of the first half proved the difference.
Carolina quarterback Bryce Young left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury. Young did not return to the game. Andy Dalton finished the game under center for the Panthers.
Panthers head coach Dave Canales did not speculate on the severity of Young's injury or if he will miss any further time.
