CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers fans will have to wait for a further injury status update on quarterback Bryce Young.

Young went down with an ankle injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 13-6 win over the New York Jets . The win put the Panthers over (.500) and provided some huge morale for the defense. Andy Dalton finished the game at quarterback for Carolina.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales did not speculate on the severity of Young's injury or if he will miss any further time.

"I don't have the specifics right now," Canales said during his post-game news conference.

Canales affirmed that Young was having trouble putting weight on his ankle and said that he would have returned to the game if not for that issue.
