Former NFL star running back Doug Martin has died.

He was 36.

TMZ reported Martin’s death Sunday citing “a source with direct knowledge,” but did not have further details regarding the cause of his passing.

The 5-foot-9, 223 pounder became a star at Boise State and was a first-round pick, 31st-overall, by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Martin played for the Buccaneers through the 2017 season before wrapping up his career with a season with the Raiders in 2018.

Martin ran for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns and caught 49 passes for 472 yards and another score as a rookie with the Buccaneers in 2012.
