The heartbeat of the Portland Trail Blazers’ defense isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Toumani Camara and the Blazers agreed to a contract extension Sunday, a team source confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive, completing a deal that could keep the defensive stalwart in Portland through the 2029-30 NBA season.
The extension, first reported by ESPN, is a 4-year, $82 million deal that will begin next season.
Camara emerged as a pillar of the Blazers’ multiyear roster rebuild during his second NBA season, when he blossomed into a lockdown defender.
