WACO, Texas (KWTX) - If you are among the 13,411 people who have outstanding Class C misdemeanor warrants, the city of Waco and Municipal Judge Bobby Garcia are brewing up a spooky deal for you.

Garcia and the court will be conducting the city’s second annual Halloween Spooktacular Amnesty Event from Oct. 20 through Oct. 31 in an effort to clear up the more than 41,000 outstanding warrants in the court, some dating back two decades or more.

Garcia said last year‘s amnesty event wiped warrants off the books for 3,100 people for Class C offenses such as city code enforcement violations, animal violations, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, assault, speeding and other traffic citations.

“We are reaching out to people through phone calls, but we are also doing the Spooktacular event,”
