Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday alleged that his car was attacked by women members of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) while he was en route to inaugurate a Kali Puja in Satghara area, Raidighi, in South 24 Parganas district.

He claimed he was “attacked twice”, with attempts made to stop his car.

The senior BJP leader alleged that he faced a blockade and TMC women workers protested surrounding the road with placards and posters with slogans such as “stop atrocities on Bengali workers, then do politics” and “give money for the houses of poor people of Bengal, then do politics, give them money for 100 days.”
