BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- The NFTA's metro rail system will reopen for underground services Monday morning at 5:30 a.m., the NFTA said.
Service had been suspended since Saturday afternoon due to an "underground mechanical issue," the NFTA said, and bus shuttles will run every 20 minutes to help fill in the gap in service.
"The cause is being investigated, and we appreciate our riders’ patience and understanding as our crews work round the clock to restore full service," the NFTA said. "Riders are encouraged to check nfta.metro.com and NFTA-Metro’s social media for the latest service updates."
