BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A group of volunteers is planting hope and new beginnings along Allen Street.
Over the weekend, a group with the Allentown Association planted 5,000 tulip bulbs along Allen Street.
"They range in color from purples to reds to orange to yellows," said Patty McDonald, beautification committee chair. "It's going to be an incredible splash of color in the spring when all the bulbs come up."
Organizers want residents to be proud of their neighborhood and keep that sense of community growing.
"We're an urban neighborhood, there's no denying that. We get a lot of visitors ... but flowers and doing projects like streetscapes, it instills a bit of pride," said Laine Walnicki, Allentown Association President.
