GRUNDY, Va. (WJHL) - Remote Area Medical (RAM) was set up in Grundy on Sunday at Riverside Elementary/Middle School to provide free healthcare to patients, and this year, there was a new addition on site.
Many doctors, nurses, and volunteers from around the region worked with RAM to provide medical, dental, and vision services to patients free of charge.
Services included teeth cleanings, pediatric services, diabetes and cancer screenings and women's healthcare.
Lindsay Allison, Clinic Coordinator of RAM, said the purpose is to increase healthcare accessibility for the Grundy community.
