The Okanagan Sun are making a habit of hoisting the Cullen Cup.
For the third time in four years — and for the second consecutive season — the Cullen Cup will remain in Kelowna after the Sun delivered a commanding 45–26 victory over the Westshore Rebels in Saturday’s BC Football Conference championship game at the Apple Bowl.
It was the third meeting between the two teams this season, and the Sun wasted no time asserting their dominance.
Quarterback Liam Kroeger, the offensive engine for Okanagan all season, guided the Sun to a 14–0 lead after the first quarter. Kroeger opened the scoring with a 34-yard touchdown pass to Jordayne Falconer, then followed it up with a 20-yard strike to Seth Famakinde.
