All things considered, it was a pretty sweet homecoming for Mike Vrabel.

The former Titans head coach entered Nissan Stadium to cheers, heard his named repeatedly chanted in the closing minutes and — in between — guided his New England Patriots to a 31-13 victory over Tennessee at Nissan Stadium.

Vrabel took the high road afterward, steering clear of any “revenge” comments after whipping his old team in front of the owner, Amy Adams Strunk, who fired Vrabel following six seasons at the helm of the Titans.

The Patriots are 5-2, meaning New England has already won more games this season than the Titans (1-6) have in the combined two seasons since Vrabel was canned.
