AUSTIN, Texas — Firefighters with the Austin Fire Department (AFD) battled and extinguished a fire that sparked up at a pizza restaurant in South Austin Sunday night.

According to AFD, the fire began at More Home Slice Pizza on South Congress Avenue at around 7:20 p.m. AFD says the fire originated in a void space around a pizza oven exhaust vent.

The fire was extinguished sometime before 9 p.m. AFD says no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
