In a special sitting held on Sunday, the Karnataka High Court directed the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS ) convenor for Kalaburagi , Ashok Patil, to submit a fresh application seeking permission to conduct a Pathasanchalana (route march) in Chittapur town on November 2 .

The order came after the petitioner approached the court challenging the authorities’ inaction on an earlier application seeking permission to hold the march on October 19.

The plea was later amended when the Executive Magistrate, through an order dated October 18, denied permission citing possible overlap with other public rallies scheduled in the same area and time.
