K-RIDE fast-tracks land acquisition for Corridor-2 after L&T’s exit, ensuring readiness for new tender and uninterrupted Suburban Rail progress

The Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited popularly known as K-RIDE, the nodal agency implementing the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP) is expediting the land acquisition process for Corridor-2 (Baiyappanahalli–Chikkabanavara) to ensure full readiness before the new civil works tender is floated. Nearly 90% of the land required for the 25-km Mallige Line has already been acquired. Sources said K-RIDE has almost completed the acquisition process for this priority corridor under the BSRP. Of the total 2,264 sq mtrs needed, notices have been issued across Mahadevapura , Kasaba, and Yeshwanthpur hoblis in Bengalu
