KING HILL, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Idaho Department of Fish and Game announced the King Hill boating access site will be closed for the season starting October 20.

The reason for the closure is to keep the public out and safe while construction crews work on projects in the area.

Mike Peterson, the Magic Valley Regional Fisheries Manager said people will notice some changes when King Hill reopens.

“The main changes will be just to the parking area. Essentially there will be delineated parking, so park within the designated spots as well as some additional car parking areas,” Peterson said.

It’s meant to also make sure there is more space for boats in the parking lot. King Hill will be closed until December 19.
