Every day, police officers respond to reports of all sorts of events and nonevents, most of which never make the news. Here is a sampling of lesser-known — but no less noteworthy — incidents from police log books (a.k.a. blotters) in our communities.

TIGHT SQUEEZE

At 8 p.m. Oct. 9, a 39-year-old man from Boston attempted a bold move while driving when he tried to squeeze by an MBTA bus in Andrew Square. It didn’t go as he had planned. In fact, if he were trying to save himself some time, it backfired in a very big way, as his car hit the side of the bus and became wedged between it and the curb. MBTA Transit Police determined he was impaired, took him into custody, and had his vehicle towed. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and police shared a video of the debacle on social med
