The person who was fatally struck by a shuttle bus on Albany Street in Boston on Oct. 6 has been identified as a 40-year-old man from Saudi Arabia, officials said.
Just before 8 a.m. near 774 Albany St. , Alhanouf Alhazzaa was pinned beneath the bus and declared dead at the scene, according to the Suffolk district attorney’s office.
Investigators worked with the Saudi consulate in Boston to notify Alhazzaa’s family members, the district attorney’s office said.
The crash remains under investigation, the office said.
The shuttle bus runs between Boston University’s campuses and “is owned and operated by our vendor, Academy Express,” according to Colin Riley, a spokesperson for Boston University.
