PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - In a weekend editorial piece in the popular magazine Newsweek , Portland Mayor Keith Wilson criticized the federal government’s handling of the situation near Portland’s ICE facility and warned that conditions there, if not mitigated, could lead to a potential “disaster.”

Portland’s highly-controversial Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building on the south waterfront has generated significant attention since protests began there in early June.
