(FOX40.COM) — The West Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of an overturned vehicle that was linked to a hit-and-run crash on Sunday night. • Video above: How to report a public safety threat

According to WSPD, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Fifth Street and C Street at around 8:30 p.m. regarding an overturned vehicle. When crews arrived, they located one person who was inside the vehicle.

WSPD said that the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was safely removed from the vehicle.

The police said the investigation showed that the overturned vehicle had been involved in a hit-and-run collision elsewhere in the city and was attempting to flee the scene when the crash happened.
