LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A peaceful stroll on a Sunday afternoon brought dozens of people comfort as they held signs to advocate for change.

Mary Hunt, Director of Pax Christi Little Rock, led participants on a walk from the River Market to North Little Rock.

"The significance is that we can't just get desensitized from the violence going on in our community," Hunt said.

Hunt says people need to stay alert and aware when it comes to crime in the city. This is her 11th year organizing the Pilgrimage for Peace walk. She and other nonprofit community leaders discussed ways their organizations could continue transforming the city, never forgetting those affected by violence.
