HAMMOND, Ind. — The Michigan Tech Huskies volleyball team wrapped up play at the 17th annual Midwest Region Crossover with a 3-0 loss to Walsh on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers won 25-22, 25-18, and 27-25.
The match ended a tough weekend for the Huskies, where they won just two sets in three matches.
“We battled another talented team today and were unable to gain an advantage in the match,” Huskies coach Cindy Pindral said. “We have a lot of work to do before we face very tough conference opponents next weekend.”
Four different Huskies had at least two kills in the opening set, but the Cavaliers held a slight lead throughout. Tech survived three setpoints before Walsh got a kill from Sammie DiBease.
