When I worked in recruiting, I noticed a common thread: Many job seekers didn’t aim high enough when looking for a new job. They pursued a role that was entirely in their wheelhouse instead of leveling up. There’s no shame in that, but it takes longer to get ahead in your career, as well as financially, if you consistently pivot laterally.
