Century boys soccer

The Knights clinched their second straight Carroll County championship with a 4-1 victory over Liberty on Thursday. After starting the season 1-4, including a defeat to Westminster in the county opener, Century hasn’t lost.

The Knights have won seven straight games, outscoring teams by a combined 19-7. They’ve posted four shutouts during the stretch, including three in county games.

Honorable mentions

Manchester Valley golf: The Mavericks won their first county championship Friday at Oakmont Green. They shot 318 during the county tournament, 10 shots better than runner-up and defending champion South Carroll.
