The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued a warning for heavy rainfall across Odisha from October 24 to 26, as a low-pressure area is likely to form over the next 12 hours and intensify into a depression within 24 hours.

Light to moderate rains could begin as early as tomorrow (October 21), with the heaviest spells anticipated in southern and coastal districts. Winds gusting up to 30-40 km/h are also forecast, potentially leading to disruptions in daily life and travel.

Officials have urged residents to stay prepared but emphasized there is no immediate cause for alarm. The system is being closely monitored, with updates to follow.
